The basket is well-built, up to a point. I suspect no one at corporate HQ has tried to assemble one, or seen a finished basket. Overall I like it. But here’s the issue: the small m5x10 screws that hold the basket halves together. I have attached a couple of pictures. Two problems: the screws are very tight to tighten, resulting in the allen head recess getting mangled about halfway, so you need to finish with vice grip pliers. And then once the screws are fully inserted … they don’t sit flush, they stand proud by quite a bit. Looks very unprofessional. Because the bars are round, i don’t know how you would do it differently, but the way it is now is unacceptable.

While I couldn’t use this, it was a very unlucky happenstance with having a slightly older model of the bike. The basket itself was great quality and I’m sad not to be using it.

Basket is okay. As several others have mentioned, no instructions/directions. The screws are odd for the round tubes. One end of one tube was bent. I was able to form it back into a round shape and insert the connecting rod. I really like the attempt at the easy-snap system to remove it from the rack; however, it’s poorly designed. The springs flew out of place multiple times on me and I nearly lost one.
