In-stock Rift electric bike models require extra processing time and will ship out within 2-3 business days of placing your order. The Rift is shipped via LTL freight to the to preserve quality and reduce shipping related issues.
After your order has processed and left our warehouse, please expect approximately 5-10 business days for additional transit time and delivery. Delivery appointment is required and delivery times are dependent on availability by local distribution centers. (Note – Canadian orders are excluded from LTL Freight due to extended shipping timelines and shipped via FedEx ground)
We are a direct-to-consumer company both in pricing and strategy. You will generally pay a premium for the ability to test-ride ebikes through a dealer. However, our electric bikes have been thoroughly tested by top reviewers such as Electric Bike Review, Electric Bike Report, Cycling Weekly, Clean Technica, Electrek and many others who have published their reviews on YouTube. No. The electric bike component variations you see on the site are the only options we have.
We only ship ebikes within North America. The Continental United States is FREE. Shipping to Canada is $400. Currently, not shipping to Hawaii. We are not responsible for any additional tariffs charged by your local government which are often times applied after importing. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship our electric bikes directly to Europe. You can use a shipping forwarder like ShopUsa.com to reach your country.
The electric bikes are not water-proof, they are water-resistant, rated IP-65. While we do not recommend leaving the ebikes out in the rain or riding in the rain or other hazardous conditions due to personal safety, the electric bikes can handle water exposure.
VERY happy with my RIFT. I live in an area surrounded by parks and trails, but it’s also in a river valley (meaning lots of hills). The RIFT is a sheer joy to ride and the pedal assist is incredible for the hills and crossing state roads at trail intersections. I ordered the bike, basket, and phone mount. They all arrived together, as scheduled (ordered late night 8/17, shipping confirmation 8/18, and delivered in Delaware 8/25, one week). I had a choice of delivery date and time. The guy was excellent with his service skills and he even lifted the box into the bed of my truck. Assembly (one person) was easy. Ride1Up sent links to videos which helped prepare me for what was needed. I’ve had numerous people stop me on the trails (and several neighbors) to ask me about the bike. I’ve let many people test-ride it. I get a lot of compliments. Simply stated summary, I’m a raving RIFT fan.
As a 6′ person, the fact that I cannot raise the handlebars makes the ride fairly uncomfortable.
Thank you for the feedback, you could quickly install a new stem, with a high rise, or alternatively, you could install high rise handlebars if the handlebar height is not high enough for your preference. It should be a relatively inexpensive and still nice looking change. Hopefully you are able to customize your fit to your liking. Thank you again for your review.
The handle bars could be a little higher, I added a riser.
500 Mile Review
I received the Rift for my 58th birthday from my wife and I have ridden it for my work commute every day since. About a third of my commute is dirt along beach top bluffs to avoid traffic and the rift is a dream to ride. Assembly was very easy, and I love the battery capacity/range getting on average 40 miles between charging cycles. The breaks are fantastic and there is plenty of power for serious hill climbs. The bike does well in all terrains (street, dirt, and sand) with the fat tires providing great grip and stability. The welded rack is a nice plus and the fenders are great on wet commutes. I love this bike and would highly recommend it.
The step-thru frame model flexes way too much for my liking. Everything else about the bike is great.
