It corners and holds the road and the trail very well. I can’t even tell when the motor kicks in. It just gets easier to ride. It feels like a standard bike when you peddle it. Everything is layer out well and does what it is supposed to do. The frame is larger and designed for people 5’-7” and taller unless you get a step through model. Great bike. I’m glad I got the trail model

Rode it on a 50 Miler in Delaware; had nearly 50% left in battery when I finished; Granted, it was almost all flat, but still…

So it’s fantastic. The difference between can and can’t for me- an 86 year old biker.

I’m recovering from a knee replacement and this bikes has been great in my recovery. I’ve been riding my Prodigy in ECO mode for the most part and it is helping me strength train for my knee replacement. I’ll eventually be riding my regular road bike for future events but my Prodigy will still be in my schedule to ride for many future training rides.

I bought this for my wife. We are both avid bike riders and used to participate in 100-mile ride events, etc. We rode several thousand miles per year. However, we are now in our mid-seventies and my wife has had some medical difficulties. I decided it was time for her to try an ebike. Not only are they easier to ride, they are safer. Lights, fenders, luggage rack, etc. We would never have a bike that you can just turn the throttle and it goes. What’s the point? Just get a scooter. So when we got on the bike and started riding, we were thrilled to feel that gentle assist kick in (at the lowest level). When it was turned to a higher number, the assist is more pronounced, but still not violent. We love how it rides and how it still makes you pedal to earn your keep. So it remains our chief avenue of exercise. Beyond this, I bought a little cart that attaches to the rear spindle and put our two mini-Australian shepherds in it and ride around the neighborhood. It is a blast. When we do this, we usually bump up the assist level one or two notches. I have a $10,000 road bike and I like this bike just as much. I hope this bike holds up as well as my road bike. We shall see. It appears to be well-built and sturdy. It is also pleasing to the eye. And the price was considerably below other brand-name bikes. Have I said enough good things? The only minor thing is that I had a little difficulty putting the bike together, which was a little odd since I do all my mechanical work on our four road bikes. It wasn’t big, it was just that the handlebars, with cables attached were tucked in behind the down tubes and I couldn’t figure out how to get them out. I called customer service and they made some suggestions. I ended up removing the mini-computer (with cable attached) from the handlebar and that allowed me to untangle the handlebar. Put the mini-computer back on and it was good to go.

I had been testing out brands at my local bike shop, and had honed in on one from Specialized, but the price made me pause. I came across the Prodigy while doing research, when I noticed all of the different bicycle magazines recommending it (along with a great review in Forbes). After much consideration, I decided to take the risk and buy the Prodigy, and I love it. To me it rides very similar to the Specialized, and contains many of the same components. There were a couple of technical issues that I couldn’t solve, and I had to bring it to a bike mechanic to get it working correctly, but other than that (and replacing the seat, which isn’t terribly comfortable) I couldn’t be happier. I am now out riding our local 12 mile trail loop daily, which includes several significant hills, and it works wonderfully. E-bikes are a game changer for me with biking, and I would recommend this bike.

I am very happy with my purchase. When using the bike in “off mode” on the flats, I find the gearing to be great and provides great exercise. I use the battery on hills; especially upon returning home. I am still learning how the battery works as far as available power. I have finished a 30 mile ride and show a range of 27 miles but have 4 out of 5 bars of battery remaining so not sure what that means. Have not ran out the battery yet to find out! No complaints to report in any department. Excellent choice!
